ATRAM Dollar Money Fund Sets Oct. 2 Shareholder Meeting — But the Deadline Investors Can’t Miss Comes Much Earlier
MANILA, Philippines — Shareholders of ATRAM Dollar Money Fund are being called to a virtual annual meeting on October 2, 2026, with investors set to review the fund’s 2025 financial statements, elect its next board of directors and act on other corporate governance matters.
The Annual Stockholders’ Meeting will begin at 3 p.m. through Zoom, according to a notice published by Manila Standard. The meeting follows the fund’s previous annual shareholders’ meeting held on October 17, 2025.
While the announcement may look like a routine corporate notice, several decisions on the agenda could matter to investors because they concern who oversees the fund, how its previous year’s finances are presented and who will independently audit its accounts.
Board election and 2025 financial statements take center stage
According to the published agenda, management is expected to present its report to shareholders as well as the fund’s audited financial statements as of December 31, 2025. Shareholders will also be asked to ratify corporate actions before moving to the election of directors for the 2026–2027 term.
The meeting will additionally consider the appointment of the external auditor for 2026, followed by other matters that may properly come before shareholders.
That makes the October meeting more than a ceremonial annual gathering. For a fund structured as a corporation, the election of directors and appointment of an external auditor are basic but important parts of shareholder oversight.
Not every investor can vote
There is an important cutoff.
Only shareholders recorded as holders of the corporation’s issued shares as of the close of business on August 3, 2026 are entitled to participate under the record-date provision contained in the notice.
Eligible shareholders who intend to join remotely are instructed to complete registration on or before September 21, 2026. Information submitted for participation will then be verified and validated by the corporate secretary, with that process scheduled to be completed by September 25.
The distinction is important: the meeting itself is on October 2, but investors who wait until that date to deal with participation requirements could already be too late.
A wider ATRAM shareholder-meeting cycle is underway
The Dollar Money Fund notice is not appearing in isolation.
On the same day, The Manila Times reported that ATRAM AsiaPlus Equity Fund Inc. was also announcing its annual stockholders’ meeting, while Manila Standard carried a separate notice for that ATRAM-linked fund. That suggests the announcements are part of the regular annual corporate-governance cycle across ATRAM’s mutual-fund entities rather than evidence of an extraordinary corporate event.
ATRAM currently operates a broad range of mutual funds and unit investment trust funds spanning equities, bonds, multi-asset strategies and money-market products. Its current fund selector includes dozens of investment products.
One naming distinction investors should not miss
There is also potential for confusion because ATRAM currently offers a product called the ATRAM Dollar Money Market Fund.
That product is a UITF, or unit investment trust fund, and is not automatically interchangeable with the corporate entity named ATRAM Dollar Money Fund in the stockholders’ meeting notice.
Current ATRAM and Trust Officers Association of the Philippines data describe the Dollar Money Market Fund UITF as a U.S.-dollar money-market product launched in October 2019. It had a NAVPU of 1.208726 as of September 2, 2026, with a reported year-to-date return of about 1.79 percent.
Investors should therefore avoid using those UITF performance figures as though they were necessarily the financial results of the corporation covered by the October 2 shareholder notice.
That distinction is particularly important because the Philippine Investment Funds Association’s current public mutual-fund tables list several ATRAM corporate mutual funds—including ATRAM Corporate Bond Fund, ATRAM Philippine Balanced Fund and ATRAM Total Return Dollar Bond Fund—but the similarly named Dollar Money Market Fund appears separately in UITF industry data.
Why the October 2 meeting deserves attention
Annual shareholder meetings rarely create the kind of headlines produced by mergers, billion-peso acquisitions or market crashes.
But for investors, they answer quieter questions that can be just as important: Who controls oversight? What do the audited accounts show? Which directors are being entrusted with the next term? And which external auditor will examine the numbers?
For ATRAM Dollar Money Fund shareholders, those questions move formally to the table on October 2.
The more immediate deadline, however, comes earlier.
Investors eligible to participate have until September 21 to comply with the registration requirement stated in the meeting notice—with validation following before the actual ASM.
That may be the date shareholders are more likely to overlook.
