**MANILA, Philippines —** TREYNA Group is making another major move beyond traditional advertising, acquiring **Evident Integrated Marketing & PR** in a deal that substantially expands the Philippine agency group's reach into corporate communications, public affairs, advocacy and complex reputation management.

Beginning **October 1, 2026**, Evident will operate as **TREYNA Evident**, a business unit under **TREYNA PR**, the public relations operation previously known as MullenLowe MARC.

The acquisition brings together two communications businesses with notably different strengths.

TREYNA PR has developed a strong consumer and brand communications practice, working with companies and brands including **Galderma, Monde Nissin and Unilever**. Evident brings deeper specialization in corporate communications and public affairs across sectors including **finance and capital markets, technology, transportation, energy, telecommunications and real estate**.

Together, the combination gives TREYNA a much broader communications proposition — from promoting products and building brands to managing corporate reputation, dealing with policymakers and stakeholders, navigating public-interest issues and executing advocacy campaigns.

And that is what makes this deal more significant than simply adding another PR agency to the group.

## TREYNA is building a communications business for more complicated problems

Advertising agencies have traditionally been hired to answer a relatively straightforward question: **How do you get consumers to notice and buy a product?**

Modern companies face something much larger.

Businesses must now communicate simultaneously with customers, employees, regulators, investors, journalists, advocacy groups, online communities and government institutions. Issues involving sustainability, regulation, public health, reputation or social impact can quickly move from the corporate affairs department into mainstream public conversation.

Evident's experience appears designed for precisely that environment.

The company says its approach puts purpose at the center of marketing and communications, while its work has extended beyond commercial campaigns into social-impact and advocacy initiatives. Its areas of experience include sustainability, public health, gender issues and climate resilience, according to coverage of the acquisition.

That specialization complements TREYNA PR's more established consumer and brand-building work.

In other words, TREYNA is not simply buying additional media-relations capacity.

**It is adding expertise in situations where reputation, regulation, stakeholder relationships and public opinion increasingly overlap.**

## Evident becomes TREYNA Evident

The Evident name will not disappear.

From October 1, the agency will operate as **TREYNA Evident**, formally becoming part of TREYNA PR.

Evident founder **Cecile Dominguez-Yujuico** described the combination as an opportunity to bring the company's expertise into a broader communications platform.

She said Evident was created for organizations dealing with complicated regulatory, reputational and public-interest environments and that joining TREYNA PR would allow that expertise to be applied at greater scale.

Evident's own corporate materials currently identify Dominguez-Yujuico as president, with **Diane Hidalgo and Dove Subingsubing** serving as managing partners. The firm describes itself as an integrated marketing and PR agency focused on purpose-led communications.

Financial details of the TREYNA-Evident transaction, including the purchase price and valuation, were **not disclosed in the reports reviewed**.

## The acquisition is part of a much bigger TREYNA expansion

The Evident transaction is not an isolated deal.

TREYNA has been steadily adding capabilities outside its traditional advertising business for years.

The group acquired **ARC Public Relations in 2018**, invested in UX/UI specialist **Quiddity in 2021**, and bought **Xiklab Digital's digital advertising business in 2024**.

That expansion has created a group capable of working across advertising, PR, digital experience, technology, production and brand activation.

TREYNA's current corporate structure includes functions such as **TREYNA PR**, digital experience operation **Qairos**, production capability **Paradigm** and experiential offering **HOOK**. The company identifies itself as an **Omnicom Advertising Group affiliate**.

Adding Evident now strengthens one of the areas becoming increasingly important to large corporations: communication around issues that cannot be solved through advertising alone.

## It also comes during TREYNA's biggest identity change in years

The acquisition arrives only months after another major transition.

The company formerly known as **MullenLowe TREYNA** became TREYNA following the retirement of the MullenLowe brand after the global Omnicom-IPG combination.

The agency traces its history to **1978** and has operated under several identities over nearly five decades, including Lintas, Lowe and MullenLowe.

TREYNA executives have portrayed the latest identity not simply as a cosmetic rebrand but as an opportunity to reinforce the company's local leadership and direction while maintaining its relationship with the global Omnicom network.

TREYNA remains an Omnicom Advertising Group affiliate, according to its corporate website.

The Evident acquisition therefore arrives at a strategically important moment: TREYNA has shed one of the most recognizable international agency names in its history while simultaneously expanding the capabilities attached to its new identity.

## Mike Trillana: TREYNA must keep adding capabilities

TREYNA Group chairman and CEO **Mike Trillana** positioned the Evident acquisition as another expression of the agency's longstanding "challenger mindset."

He said the group intends to keep questioning existing models, adapting to changes in the industry and investing in capabilities that can keep the organization relevant rather than allowing it to remain confined to what it traditionally did.

That philosophy is increasingly visible in TREYNA's structure.

The company that once would primarily have been described as an advertising agency is becoming harder to define within a single category.

Advertising remains central, but PR, digital platforms, technology, production, activation, public affairs and advocacy increasingly sit alongside it.

Evident adds another layer.

## Why Evident is strategically different

Evident's client and sector experience is especially relevant because some of the industries it serves face unusually high levels of public and regulatory scrutiny.

Its portfolio includes work involving:

- finance and capital markets;
- technology;
- transportation;
- energy;
- telecommunications;
- real estate;
- sustainability;
- public health;
- gender; and
- climate resilience.

Communications in these sectors can involve far more than earning media coverage.

Companies may need to explain regulatory positions, communicate with government agencies, reassure investors, respond to crises, engage communities or build support around major policy and infrastructure issues.

Marketing-Interactive reported that the combination is intended to bring together TREYNA's consumer and brand expertise with Evident's capabilities in **stakeholder engagement, public-sector advocacy, behavior-change communications and complex issues management**.

That may be the most important part of the acquisition.

## Awards add credibility — but capability is the bigger story

Evident has also accumulated industry recognition.

Its work has received recognition from programs including the **Philippine Quill Awards, Asia-Pacific Quill Awards, Anvil Awards and Stevie Awards**, according to reports on the transaction.

Its own website lists recent award-winning projects, while Philippine Quill records also show Evident-linked communications programs among recognized campaigns.

But awards alone are unlikely to explain TREYNA's interest.

The greater strategic value lies in gaining specialized talent and client experience in areas where corporate reputation, policy and public opinion increasingly intersect.

## Why the deal matters for Philippine brands

For large companies, the boundaries between marketing and corporate affairs have been eroding.

A consumer controversy can become a regulatory issue.

A government policy announcement can affect investor perception.

A sustainability commitment can become a reputation test.

An employee issue can become a social-media crisis within hours.

And an advocacy campaign may require the same level of creativity, data and audience understanding traditionally associated with commercial advertising.

By putting consumer PR, corporate communications, public affairs and advocacy under a broader TREYNA PR organization, the group is effectively betting that clients increasingly want those disciplines to work together rather than operate as disconnected agencies.

That could give TREYNA a stronger position when competing for organizations looking for one communications partner capable of handling both **brand opportunity and corporate risk**.

## TREYNA's evolution may be the bigger story

The acquisition is significant for Evident, but it also says something important about TREYNA itself.

In just several years, the organization has expanded through PR, UX/UI and digital acquisitions and investments, while simultaneously navigating the retirement of the MullenLowe name and establishing TREYNA as its own agency identity.

Now it is adding a communications business specialized in the parts of corporate life where advertising alone has limited power.

From October 1, **TREYNA Evident** will formally become part of that strategy.

The immediate result is a bigger PR operation.

But the more consequential question is what comes next.

Because if TREYNA continues acquiring specialized capabilities at the pace established over the past several years, **the company may increasingly look less like a traditional advertising agency — and more like a fully integrated business, reputation and communications platform.**
