2 Arrested in P50,000 Carbon Market Stall Deal in Cebu

According to the report, the two men were allegedly involved in a scheme to sell a stall by falsely representing that they could arrange its allocation through their supposed government connections.

The transaction involved P50,000, which the complainant allegedly paid in connection with the promised stall.

The involvement of a city government job-order worker raised concerns because the suspect was allegedly using his connection to the local government to facilitate the transaction.

Arrest follows alleged transaction

The suspects were taken into custody following an operation conducted in connection with the complaint.

Authorities are expected to determine the full circumstances surrounding the transaction, including whether the suspects had any actual authority to allocate or sell market stalls.
