Yoona Is Coming To Singapore — But What’s Waiting For Fans At ION Orchard On Sept. 11?

Singapore is about to get another dose of Girls' Generation star power.

Yoona, the singer-actress and member of K-pop powerhouse Girls' Generation, will make a special appearance at Sulwhasoo’s immersive pop-up at ION Orchard on Sept. 11, 2026.

According to Channel NewsAsia, Yoona is scheduled to appear at the Level 1 Atrium from 4:45pm, giving fans a chance to see the Korean star during the luxury beauty brand’s major anniversary celebration.

The Sulwhasoo pop-up will run from Sept. 10 to Sept. 20, with the event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the brand’s Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Cream.

Yoona heads to ION Orchard

Yoona’s Singapore appearance comes as Sulwhasoo marks six decades of its signature ginseng skincare line.

The event is designed as an immersive experience, with multiple zones centred around the Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Cream. CNA describes the product as having been dubbed Korea’s number one anti-aging cream for 11 consecutive years.

Local reports also confirmed the appearance, with AsiaOne reporting that fans can catch Yoona at the pop-up from 4:45pm on Sept. 11.

The wider celebration will be open at ION Orchard’s Level 1 Atrium from 10am to 10pm daily from Sept. 10 to 20.

However, prospective visitors should note that local coverage indicates Sept. 11 will include a private-event period from noon to 6:30pm, meaning access arrangements may differ during Yoona’s appearance. Fans should check the latest venue or brand announcements before making the trip.

Why Yoona’s Singapore appearance is generating buzz

The timing is particularly interesting for Yoona.

The Girls' Generation member remains one of South Korea’s best-known idol-actors, and her recent acting success has given her another wave of international attention.

She starred in the hit historical fantasy rom-com “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” playing modern-day chef Yeon Ji-young, who finds herself transported to the past and serving a demanding king.

The drama became a major international streaming success. Studio Dragon said the series accumulated 588.3 million hours viewed globally on Netflix during the second half of 2025, ranking third among all series by hours viewed for that period, behind Wednesday Season 2 and Stranger Things 5.

The show's momentum was also evident in Southeast Asia. Philippine outlet Manila Bulletin reported that Bon Appétit, Your Majesty reached No. 1 on Netflix’s global non-English TV chart for the Sept. 8–14, 2025 viewing period, while also ranking No. 1 in several Asian markets, including Singapore and the Philippines.

That success has helped keep Yoona firmly in the spotlight beyond her work with Girls' Generation.

Singapore is getting more Girls' Generation star power

Yoona is also not the only Girls' Generation member to make headlines in Singapore this year.

Her groupmate Yuri visited Singapore in July, reportedly for a photoshoot, and was spotted travelling with a Singapore Airlines Beary plushie.

Another member, Hyoyeon, is scheduled to appear in Singapore in October as DJ Hyo during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. CNA reports that she is set to perform at the Waterside stage on Oct. 10.

For SONEs, it makes Yoona’s September appearance another highly anticipated Girls' Generation-related moment in Singapore.
